ABOUT

I’m Sara, owner and operator of Farm Life. I grew up on a farm in the very southwest corner of Saskatchewan - near Consul in the RM of Reno 51. My great grandfather made the treck from Minnesota in the early 1900’s to settle on the banks of Cypress Lake to farm. While no one lives on that land currently, my family still owns the land and farms it.

My brothers and I grew up with wheat, cows, a huge vegetable garden, suppers in the field with my grandparents from both sides and prairie sunsets. As a young adult, I resided in Calgary for a while, but the call of the wide-open prairies and rural life called after having my first child, and back to rural Saskatchewan I went, eventually settling in Cabri with my wife and blended family of 5 kids. Our family keeps busy with sports, our “town farm” which has backyard chickens, quail and vegetables as well as enjoying the benefits of raising kids in a small farming and ranching community close to the river. But nothing tops a trip to my parents farm to enjoy a combine ride, to pick fresh fruit or have a family BBQ supper cooked on an open fire!

I first saw Farm Life at our local farmers market, and the “cultivate kindness” t-shirt spoke to me – as I believe that the world needs more kindness and understanding. A few years later, here I am taking over Farm Life from the founder, Brandon Wiebe. My dream is to combine my graphic design and business background, along with my love of the land we live on, and share it with you through Farm Life Apparel.

Join me on this back road journey!
